Hiya, I am Jana.

Those of you who know me, know that I have been a photographer for most of my adult-ish life. I photographed rockstars, artists, athletes, business people, moms and kids and the occasional politician.
I have been published and exhibited all over the world. And if you have met me, you also know that I have to stop myself talking about Juicing and Juice Cleansing and how fabulous it is for your all around well-being, as to not come across as a preacher. If you have been around me lately, you also have heard that I used the pandemic not only to make a crazy move across the Atlantic with my teenager, dog and cat, but also spent the past 2+ years studying and getting certified as a juice therapy practitioner, certified life & systemic coach as well as graduated as an NLP master, as well as just recently becoming a Healing Practitioner for Psychotherapy.
So, if you are curious at all, about making a change in how you feel, inside and outside,  clearing your head, feeling light and beautiful, having fun, getting that positivity going, stick around.
I love my kids. Period. I love myself. Also period. I have survived adversities of all kinds, including my own inner asshole that has been wanting to hold me back and keep me invisible and small. I am ready to share my wisdom and my experiences with you to get you to where you really wanna be.

I Love Water

Water is magic. I love water. I have the best ideas in the shower, sitting in the hot tub, floating in a pool, snorkeling and diving with turtles.

Also, I had a near death experience as a child, drowning in the Baltic Sea. It was a very peaceful experience. I was 4.

I AM READY!

It’s been a long road, up and down and ’round and ’round. That’s a song, yes, I think, feel and talk in songs. Upside Down, Diana Ross. I sing it out loud – good for the vagus nerve, they say, singing is. Anyway, I am so ready to share all that I have learned about nutrition, juicing, menopause, human design, life in general, moving continents, with dog, cat, teenager. I have reflected on my decisions, triggers, thoughts and am so curious to learn more and I am ready to live my full life, now.  I used to say I am slow. Fuck that! I like to take my time. How does that sound? Much better, eh? Also. Yes, I am a turtle, slow on land, fast in water! 😉

Are YOU Ready?

THE OTHER YEAR I SPENT ON ZOOM

What a luxury to be able to invest in myself. Yes, it was another longest winter ever. And also. I was lucky to be able to join the American Women Club of Berlin half way through. I don’t know if I would have made it without the company and moral support of a bunch ladies from all over the world. It truly helped me get settled into our new normal. It also allowed me to have my first local exhibit. Thanks for making me feel like a Rockstar, Billy!

How do YOU get through the winter?

THE YEAR I SPENT ON ZOOM

While my friends travelled the world, Covid-permitting, I stayed put and travelled to the inside, of myself. Would I never work as a coach, it still would have been worth all the hours, weeks and months of learning. For myself. What a luxury it was to have this time. Investing in myself. Taking all the time I needed. Not saying it was all easy peasy, there have been many challenges, and for my teenage daughter, it sure was a tough time.

Also, our beautiful cat Bluepaw, King of the Mountain, passed away shortly after his best friend died.

How do YOU deal with grief?

BACK TO SCHOOL

After I arrived in Berlin, Germany, I decided to go back to school. I started out with finishing my education as a Natural Juice Therapy Practitioner at Jason Vales’s Juice Master Academy. That was hard!!! And then I got the certificate and thought: What do I do now? Yes, I continued introducing friends and acquaintances to Juicing, but that wasn’t all I wanted to do. Juicing alone doesn’t make the changes we want. So I signed myself up for classes: Certified Coach, Systemic Coach, NLP Practitioner followed by NLP Master, amongst other classes. How did YOU thrive during the pandemic?

IT WAS A GOOD YEAR

Everything had fallen into place. Business was well, the kids were thriving, friends, health. What a fantastic year!

NEW BEGINNINGS aka DIVORCE

2016 was the end to a traumatic, way to long held on to, unhealthy and painful marriage. The big D. had finally arrived. June 16th, great day, my new Holiday! And if you haven’t experienced it, let me tell you, people are there for you if your husband dies, you have cancer etc, however, when your partner drops off the face of the earth, not before robbing you of every penny you had saved plus one of your cameras, and leaves you with nothing but debts, unpaid bills and traumatized children, most people stay clear. Nobody wants to catch that bug! I had to choose between bingewatching netflix, booze the wine in a carton or remind myself what a juicy, healthy life I could have with new friends, new adventures and still be there for my kids. And that’s what I did. Also, I am forever grateful to Kat Tudor and Sunwaterspa, Manitou Springs, Colorado.

What gets YOU out from under the rubble?

MY FIRST RETREAT AND FIRST ENCOUNTER WITH JUICING

Hacienda del Sol. Costa Rica. Pura Vida.

It’s a rather long story how I ended up at HDS, another coincidence -not! – and the beginning of my healthy and healing journey. Was I healed after one 7 Day retreat? Nope! Did I go back the next year? Yup! Would I like to go back again? Hell yeah! If you can make it happen. Do it. Tell them I send my LOVE!

Here is where I fell in love with raw food and juicing. After my first 5 days of the juice cleanse, it felt like I had come out of a coma! It’s a forever anchor!

Do You have any experience with Juicing or Raw Food?

I COULD HAVE SAVED MY BROTHER

Seriously, had I know back then what I know now about nutrition, my brother could still be alive. Also, I would have been able to handle my ICP during my pregnancies way better. ICP, look it up, hardly anybody knows about it, including all the doctors and midwifes I encountered. It’s awful. Also, both my kids survived beautifully and are thriving young people.

NOA

Noa was born in Manitou Springs, CO. Our home for about 16 years. It is a small and very unusual funky little mountain town. I had never experienced anything like it. Coming from the Baltic Sea it took me a very long time to get used to the mountains and the altitude and it also took some time to get used to the all american attitude, but the last few years there were fabulous, with new friends and adventures. I do miss it every now and then. I miss living in a postcard.

MARLEY

My Marley.

Marley was born in Berlin. Our home for his first 4 years. We have an undeniable bond, and at this point he could easily pick me up. Easily. He has grown into a beautiful young man making me super proud.

We still love the Alex-Tower in the middle of Berlin.

SAN FRANCISCO

I was living in Berkeley, the Berkeley Hills to be excat . Sounds so fancy, was very Hippie. Married to a Blues Musician, living the Rock’n Roll life with all it comes with. I mean all. Usually when I say I lived in Berkeley, people would tell me where they studied. Hahaha. I was studying life allright, not at University though. It was my most productive time as a Music Photographer. My favoured work was done then and there. Check my portfolio. ✌🏼❤️✨

NEW YORK CITY

NYC in the Eighties. There was nothing like it. Anything was possible at any time. And that’s what we lived on. The Downtown scene was the most inclusive – we didn’t even have to call it that, it just was. No matter where you came from, as who or what you identified. No questions asked.

I will always be a New Yorker at heart.

PARIS

I love Paris. I love just walking along the Seine, stopping in galleries, sitting down for a coffee. I love it even more now than back then.
